Back in 2006 and early 2007 in Northern Minnesota a Black Wolf was spotted several times chasing cars. It is common for dogs to chase cars, but a wolf?
Can you imagine driving down the road when seemingly out of no where a large black wolf came flying out of his ambush site. It baffles me why would he do such a thing?
With this black wolf's strange behavior people were skeptical and didn't think it was actually a wolf. A former DNR conservation officer identified this animal as none other than a timber wolf (gray wolf). Here is an article about the wolf. Black Wolf Chasing Cars.

I had no idea there were black wolves. He's beautiful. I Googled it quickly and came up with this: http://newsroom.ucla.edu/portal/ucla/biologists-solve-mystery-about-80301.aspx. Pretty interesting.
