In the spring of 2013 there was a strange phenomenon on Mille Lacs Lake in Minnesota, USA and another lake near Manitoba, Canada. The combination of high temperatures and strong winds caused lake ice to creep ashore as it melted. As you watch the video you'll hear parts where it sounds like glass breaking, in actuality it's the sound of the ice crashing and breaking as it moves along the ground. The ice is almost glacial like, not letting anything stop its progress.
Mother Nature is awesome and every time you think you have a hold on her she trows you a curve ball. What's the strangest thing you've ever seen from Mother Nature?
Wow! I'd hate to have that happen to my house. What happens when it melts? O_O
