This one was sent to us by Mike at The Sharpened Axe It's a great little story. Apparently a couple of Minks made their way into The Junction Store in Brownville, Maine. The first of the Minks was caught in the minnow tank killing minnows and stock piling them. The second of the Minks was caught in a live trap. They had noticed the dead fish from the night before were all piled up by the door, so they set up a live trap.

I've heard of mice and rats in stores and houses, but Minks that's a new one for me. Have you ever heard of anything like this? How do you suppose these guys discovered all of the minnows?

Smart little buggers!
ReplyDeleteAh the little tikes have settled well enough on this side of the pond after being released by misguided folk, shows that they're adaptable and smart.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Those are cleaver little dudes. Great story
ReplyDeleteI've watched mink fish on the far river bank and never before or again expect to see another animal that has more fun and far better luck fishing then me!
ReplyDeleteThose two must have been beyond happy in the minnow tank. The minnows may not have enjoyed it as much. Until roles reversed when the mink got caught.
Awww they're so cute. I'd say I wished they would try to break into our house but I'm pretty sure the dogs would eat them..
ReplyDeleteHLYH
That would of been a great spot to plot up a trail camera overnight maybe on video setting....
